This piece developed from The Time Being and carries a similar theme although with the focus shifted toward the precarious balance of the ‘fleshy’ essence. The form continues to evoke that of a human bust, the water staining climbing the ‘torso’ toward the ‘head’ suggesting a second figure held within the wooden block.
